Raffaele Corbisiero, MD, Reaches Procedural Milestone

Raffaele Corbisiero, MD, Division Director of Electrophysiology and Pacing was recently recognized for reaching a regional accomplishment by successfully completing his 500th procedure using the Stereotaxis Remote Navigation System.

The Stereotaxis system uses remotely-operated magnetic catheter navigation technology to perform complex ablations for patients with heart arrhythmias. Dr. Corbisiero has had the distinction of having performed the greatest volume of remote magnetic navigation ablations in the region for the past five years.

Deborah’s robust Electrophysiology Department — and its talented team of specialists, under Dr. Corbisiero’s leadership — continues to meet increased regional demand for the latest technologies and treatments promoting best care practices and safety. In 2017, Deborah performed 797 ablations treating extremely complex cases including epicardial ablations and ventrical tachycardia. Since installing the Stereotaxis Remote Navigation System, Deborah has performed over 4,500 ablations, making it one of New Jersey’s busiest ablation centers.
