Caring for Lung Patients Since 1922
With more than 35 million Americans living with chronic lung disease, the importance of highly experienced, well-trained professionals is critical to proper diagnosis and treatment of lung conditions.
Originally founded as a lung hospital that treated thousands of Tuberculosis patients, Deborah traces its roots in pulmonary medicine back to 1922. We continue to leverage this expertise by offering the community an array of both inpatient and outpatient services for coping with lung disorders such as asthma, COPD, and emphysema. Importantly, our nurse-to-patient ratios are much lower than other area hospitals, allowing for individualized care and adequate patient education.
We offer comprehensive evaluation, consultation, treatment planning and rehabilitation in one convenient location, all designed to help increase our patients’ quality of life.
U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has named Deborah Heart and Lung Center as a 2023-2024 High Performing hospital for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. This is the highest award a hospital can earn for U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings, and is given in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes.
The U.S. News Procedures & Conditions methodology is based entirely on objective measures of quality such as survival rates, patient experience, and how successfully each hospital helps patients get back home.
