The Federal Transparency in Coverage (TiC) Rule, published in 2020, provides consumers better insight into the cost of services before obtaining care and receiving a bill. Health plan price transparency helps consumers know the cost of a covered item or service before receiving care. In response to the TiC Rule, the link(s) include negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers.
