Ranked Among the Top 7% of Hospitals in the US and Canada

Deborah has received a distinguished three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery, aortic valve replacement (AVR), AVR+CABG, mitral valve repair/replacement (MVRR)+CABG and a two-star rating in MVRR. A three-star rating from STS represents one of the most respected professional benchmarks for quality cardiac surgery in the United States and Canada. Fewer than 7% of cardiac programs receive this distinction.

Dr. Charles Bailey, a pioneer in heart surgery, performed the first two open-heart surgeries in the state of New Jersey in 1958 here at Deborah. These surgeries were life-saving events for an adult and a child, and our commitment to innovation has not wavered since.
