Deborah Heart and Lung Center has announced the appointment of Attending Hospitalist Whitney Kathryn Sharp, DO. Dr. Sharp joins Deborah from Long Island Jewish-Forest Hills Hospital in New York.

She received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Florida, and served her Internal Medicine Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas.

Dr. Sharp has held several administrative positions, as well as serving as a peer mentor. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors and has widely presented at professional conferences and symposium. She is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.

In her free time Dr. Sharp enjoys international and domestic travel, conversational Spanish, painting and yoga.
