Cardiac Electrophysiology

This ACGME approved Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program accepts one fellow each academic year for an intensive two-year training program who has successfully completed ACGME approved internal medicine and cardiovascular disease fellowship programs. Graduates will develop expertise in arrhythmia evaluation and management, as well as device implantation and catheter ablation.

Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

This ACGME accredited Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship Program accepts one applicant per year who has completed a cardiology fellowship program. The one-year program trains fellows in diagnosis and management of right, left, and biventricular failure. In collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, fellows will also receive a four month cardiac transplant experience.

General Cardiology

This ACGME accredited General Cardiology Fellowship Program is offered to graduates of AOA approved Internal Medicine residency programs. Each year Deborah accepts eight new fellows who join a 24-member fellows’ team. After the first year in the three year program, trainees can choose from two fellowship tracks, invasive or noninvasive. All fellows, regardless of their chosen career track, receive training in all facets of clinical cardiology.

Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program

The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program offers three (3) ACGME accredited positions per year. The fellowship is a comprehensive one year program that includes advanced coronary and peripheral interventions, as well as structural heart therapies. The fellows training will include patient evaluation and appropriateness for invasive procedure, technical skills training, post procedure follow up, and complication management. A robust clinical research program supplements training with over 30 multicenter clinical research trials actively enrolling and several investigator initiated studies. Graduates of the program perform at an exceptional level of competency, fully equipped to function independently within the interventional field.
