The director of the Women’s Heart Center at Deborah, Renee Bullock-Palmer, MD, was featured on the Deborah Health Report on Hurley in morning, where she gave a detailed rundown of the heart disease risks that women face. She explains that women are just as likely as men to get heart disease, but often times have symptoms and conditions that differ from those that men usually get. Finally, she emphasizes the importance of getting heart check-ups even when you’re healthy, as they can help catch heart disease before it becomes irreversible.
