Kane Chang, MD, Chief, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, has announced the appointment of Saman Safadjou, MD, as vascular and endovascular surgeon.Dr. Safadjou brings a wide range of conventional and complex innovative procedural skills, honed through his specialty fellowship training at Deborah, to his new position.

Prior to his tenure at Deborah, he served his surgical residency at Weil Medical College of Cornell at Lincoln Mental and Medical Health Center, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He received his medical degree from Islamic Azad University Tabriz Branch in Iran.

Licensed in New Jersey and New York, Dr. Safadjou holds a wide range of research experience and technical specialty training. He has widely published in the American Surgery Journal, Journal of Trauma Acute Care Surgery, Clinical Lung Cancer, American Journal of Transplantation and the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, among others.
