Raffaele Corbisiero, MD, Receives Patent

Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s Chair of Electrophysiology, Raffaele Corbisiero, MD, and co-inventor David Muller of Abbott Laboratories, were awarded a patent for a novel way to optimally program CRT (cardiac resynchronization therapy) devices, based on a patients natural electrical conduction. The patent, which was issued on August 2, formalized a provisional patent issued two years ago. This new technique, tailored to each patient’s specific anatomy, ensures peak device performance.  Joining in congratulating Dr. Corbisiero (from left): S.
