Vincent Pompili, MD, Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at Deborah Heart and Lung Center has announced the appointment of Jonathan Krathen, DO, as an attending electrophysiologist.

Board certified in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Krathen earned his medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. After medical school he completed a residency in internal medicine at Seton Hall University – St. Francis Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiology at Deborah and a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Cooper University Hospital.

Dr. Krathen will be working with patients in Deborah’s clinic as well as performing pacemaker and defibrillator device procedures and ablations in the electrophysiology lab. His special interests include preventive medicine, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and arrhythmias, and he has participated in clinical research and writing for peer-reviewed professional journals.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Krathen is an avid competitive cyclist and golfer who enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
