Heart Failure Awareness Week – Recognizing Heart Failure

Cardiologist Cynthia Kos, DO
Cynthia Kos, DO

Heart Failure Awareness Week is February 13-19, so Cynthia Kos, DO, cardiologist, spoke in-depth about all the aspects of this disease. She compares heart failure to cancer, because like cancer its progress is measured in stages, and the later the stage the more difficult it is to treat. But she’s quick to emphasize that thanks to advancements in medical treatment heart failure is not a death sentence, and how Deborah’s team approach to treating heart failure provides our patients with the opportunity to live life on their own terms.
