Deborah’s Infection Control Department Recognized

Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s Infection Control team has been recognized with a Silver Award from the New Jersey Department of Health’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program.

The award is given to recognize improved antibiotic use that will ensure that patients receive the right antibiotic, at the right dose, at the right time, and for the right duration. Antimicrobial stewardship has been proven to improve patient outcomes, while at the same time protecting the effectiveness in the use of antibiotics.
