Deborah Saved My Son's Heart: Seamus' Story

Seamus is a typical active teenager: he swims, he rides BMX, he plays soccer, and more. But when he began fainting for no reason, his parents took him to one of the top pediatric cardiology programs in the region at Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

A slight irregularity on his EKG ultimately led to a diagnosis of Long QT Syndrome Type 5—a cardiac condition that affects fewer than 300 children worldwide! Had this remained undetected, it could have led to sudden cardiac death. Today, Seamus lives with a Linq Monitor in his chest that collects heart rhythm data and sends it to his doctors to make sure he is always well-protected as he lives an otherwise normal life.
