Deborah Heart and Lung Center earned a 5-Star top rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Deborah Heart and Lung Center is one of only six hospitals (out of 67 in New Jersey) to receive 5 Stars, and the rating places the Center in the top 8% of hospitals in the country.

This is the first time since 2017 that CMS has updated its Hospital Compare ratings. This national rating system calculates more than 60 different quality measures in seven categories: mortality, safety,
readmissions, patient experience, timeliness of care, effectiveness of care, and imaging efficiency. It is designed for consumers to compare quality measures and is the most standardized benchmark of hospital quality in the country.
