Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s Pediatric Cardiology Department Relocates

Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s Pediatric Cardiology Department has relocated to a new, modern physician space on the Deborah campus.

The new office, located at 212 Trenton Road, sits directly opposite the main hospital in the 5-story Cymrot Building, conveniently located at the hospital’s main entrance.

Pediatric Cardiology Department Relocates

The new practice location provides comprehensive pediatric cardiology services; follow-up care for adults who had a pediatric congenital heart repair; sudden cardiac arrest risk assessment screenings; evaluation and treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities by a Pediatric Electrophysiologist; proactive cardiovascular evaluations for youth and teenagers to prevent future adult cardiac disease; and pre-natal cardiac evaluations.

With three state-of-the-art exam rooms, a private waiting room, convenient adjacent patient parking, and easy first floor access, parents and children alike will enjoy personalized cardiac care removed from the hospital setting, easing pediatric fears of “going to the hospital.” The new location, however, retains all the advantages of proximity to a world-class, nationally renowned cardiac center with a comprehensive array of diagnostics available if needed.

Deborah Heart and Lung Center, has long been a leader of outstanding pediatric cardiac care, from performing the first pediatric open heart surgery in New Jersey on a 3-year old in 1958; through its well-regarded former Children of the World Program whose surgery outreach program saved thousands of children’s lives from nearly 100 countries; to its current New Jersey Hospital Association recognized Sudden Cardiac Arrest Program which provides community screenings for teens who may have an undetected cardiac condition.

Deborah’s Pediatric Cardiology Chair, Cara Garofalo, MD noted: “The entire pediatric team is excited about our new location, and are looking forward to providing high quality cardiac care for the more than 1,000 pediatric patients we see every year. And as a mom myself, I appreciate the new office’s location outside of the hospital. Reducing stress for the children who need evaluation means a lot.”

The new Pediatric Cardiology office opens on January 6, 2020, at 212 Trenton Road, Suite 115, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. For more information, to schedule an appointment, or to request a second opinion, call 609-735-2923.
