Deborah Names Howard Waksman, MD, as New Attending Pulmonologist

Howard Waksman, MDAndrew Martin, MD, Chair of Pulmonology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, New Jersey’s only specialty heart, lung, and vascular hospital, and an affiliate of the Cleveland Clinic Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute has announced the appointment of Howard Waksman, MD, of East Brunswick, as new Attending Pulmonologist.

Dr. Waksman joins Deborah from Rutgers-UMDNJ Medical School where he practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine. Prior to Rutgers, Dr. Waksman practiced with various medical groups in New Jersey and Florida.

Board certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine, Dr. Waksman served his residency in Internal Medicine at Bronx Municipal Medical Center and did his specialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He received his Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine.

“We are delighted to have Dr. Waksman join our pulmonary team,” said Dr. Martin. “With his broad technological experience he will be a welcome addition to Deborah.”

In his spare time, Dr. Waksman enjoys science fiction, watching old Westerns, playing with his dog, and going to the gym.

The appointment is effective immediately.
