Barbara Chamberlain, PhD, MSN, MBA, APN

“Having spent a career in healthcare – as a nurse, nursing administrator, educator, and lobbyist on behalf of nurses – I welcome my role on Deborah’s board, where my professional experience can help shape policy on behalf of the front-line caregivers in the Hospital’s high tech, acute-care floors.”

Dr. Chamberlain, a retired registered nurse, previously served as the Coordinator of Government Affairs at the New Jersey State Nurses Association. She has had a long and varied career, including President of BJC Consultants; teaching positions at Wilmington University, Drexel University, Atlantic Cape Community College, Gloucester County College, and Stockton State College; Program Manager for Transforming Care at the Bedside and Director of Continuing Education at the New Jersey Hospital Association, various nursing and administrative roles at Kennedy Health System and a variety of consulting and key nursing positions throughout the region. She also honorably served as a Senior Nurse in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Barbara has her doctorate in nursing from Widener University, an MBA from Wilmington University, an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, a BSN from Stockton State College and a BA from the school nursing program at Glassboro State College (now Rowan University).
